Am I supportive of friends and family members who seem to stay chaste?
My husbands and I are really into match-making for the family and all our friends who are left unmarried. Alhumdulillah we have also managed to help two groups of people meet and get married eventually. This is one of things you know that Allah likes it, but then because you have not read the Qur’an in the depth that we are doing, we lose out on the ajar for it maybe because you have not done it with the clearest of intentions or also you do not know the daleel for it. These ayahs are very clear indications of WHY we should be doing this – match making the right people because it is a hukum of Allah.
Abroad there are conventions such as ISNA and ICNA where Muslim girls and boys come together and register themselves in matchmaking booths. Lots of parents also register their daughters and sons. We see how important a hukum this is and how smart these young people are to find avenues that lead them to Muslim partners in an environment where they are fighting to keep their chastity. Some parents have rejected such ideas of ISNA and ICNA conventions, but this should serve as an eye opener for those parents who are blinded to the fact that their children are now grown up and are actively searching a partner.
Very recently, a colleague in the office came up and handed over his brother’s wedding card to me and said, “Please do come.” Then he went on to tell me how he had discouraged his brother who is 25 years of age and earning sufficiently from getting married. I later on shared the ayah with him which clearly is a hukum in Ayah 32 of Surah Nur.

I thinks its really important to remain chaste and considering how things are these days in my opinion , one should get married at a young age and not prolong their wedding. I think my sisters should get married when they turn 20 and not have their weddings delayed , once a suitable proposal comes for them.
I have a cousin who is about a year older than me and the only reason that her wedding wasn’t taking place was because her fiance didn’t have enough money to have a wedding. My cousin would also be talking to her fiance like mostly the whole day. My mom and myself insisted that she gets marry as her wedding was just being delayed for no legitimate reason. Alhamdulillah she got married in a year or so.
I am supportive of friends and family members who seek to stay chaste. After coming across the ayahs in Surah Noor, I also realize even more now how much its important to remain chaste.
